Ok, so it's been a long time since I posted here. I haven't been doing all that much, but here's a dump so you can see the few things I have done recently.
Haven't done much digital recently, but I did continue work on the elf dude which I posted previous WIP versions earlier.
Started this cartoon knight guy
That pretty sums up my digital stuff recently. I've fiddled with some of the old works in progress posted here previously, but no changes drastic enough to post.
I have been messing around with a number of different traditional mediums, mostly gouache. This was a random character I painted with gouache inspired by norse-ish/medieval culture.
This was a painting (in gouache) that I did inspired by a little pencil drawing I had done (shown below) years ago.
I did this one in watercolor, I have no clue what it is, some kind of knight guard guy. I tried something different, though, rather than just watercolor, I did the line art with ink and then did the watercolor after it had dried. Apparently I used the wrong kind of ink, though, because it diluted a little bit when I was applying the watercolor and bled into the paint at some points.
I was having trouble with the elf guy, so I traced the line art and continued it in pencil. I really enjoyed shading and making him come to life, although I do plan on finishing him digitally.
So there's my art stuff from the last month or so. If you have any suggestions or critiques, please please please let me know, especially concerning the traditional stuff, because I'm very new to it.
(by the way, my cat jumped on my scanner which threw it off the shelf and broke it, so I had to take pictures of the traditional pieces with my phone camera, so it's not the best quality)
