It's a must-have program in the future for me too! It's just the price is so off-putting, have to save up some money. (ZBrush sucked me dry when I bought it lol.)
Is substance mostly for games, or also for texturing models used in animated films?? (You'd actually have to bring the textures and all back into Blender if you wanted to animate the model wouldn't you...)
I'll check out BlenderBrit, thanks! I gotta ask, so from what you're saying, you can render a complete ("final") image in painter/designer? What about things like hair?? (Oh my gosh, I'm sorry for all the questions, don't worry if you can't answer lol.)
I'm just wondering since I've got things like hair particle systems on my models and I have nooo clue how that would transfer over (if it does or needs to) into substance.
I read a lot of old threads here on the forum lol, I want to make sure I've exhausted every avenue before asking questions that have most likely been asked before haha. Dunno why, I just like to search things on my own, though I'd probably save myself more time by asking right away.
Don't blame me if I come a-running with dozens of questions in the future then!
(Sorry for the wall of text, I get kinda chatty.)
