Wanted to try and see how the detail projection would work on a retopologized mesh from an original sculpt with asymmetry. (Left is original sculpt, right is retopo.)
I'm actually quite happy with the result, it turned out pretty nice. I have to thank CGCookie and Kent for that "Restoring Lost Sculpted Detail in Blender" video on YouTube, super duper useful, really similar to ZBrush's Project function but it feels less fussy!
I enjoy retopologizing some busts for practice. Face topology used to be the bane of my existence hehe. I'm not sure if my facial topology is correct, from an animation standpoint at least, but it comes to me much easier than it did a year ago where I would get lost in a sea of geometry and end up with weird spiraling face loops and whatnot.
(And I just realized I forgot to sculpt in actual eyelids on the character......... and I don't really have enough geometry around the eye for eyelids, do I? )
Will be getting back to working some more on Mr19222222 shortly!
