In other news, I have been working hard on the color pallet and base building system for a game I have in mind.
Sooo here is what the assets look like in cycles. Basically you will be able to build and customize your base with these tube sets that snap together. When you want to build you can go to designated areas and enter a sort of forge mode similar to Halo 5's forge mode. Once in forge mode you can fly around and place assets that cost resources to place. After placing a tube or building segment onto the system you can further customize by placing objects inside and choosing a color pallet.
Every single asset in the game will have 5 colors on it. These 5 colors make up a color pallet. Whenever you find a new object weather it is an enemy, a gun, or a plant in the game, you will unlock a new color pallet. With these newly collected color pallets you can customize your armor, weapons, and base objects.
Note that the examples I have shown above are only a fraction of the building objects that will be in the game.
I have basically no experience making a game in Unity, but I think I have more than enough experience in modelling to get started. Since I am doing a low poly art style art style adding new assets and structures should be a breeze. Not to mention that amount you could have on screen since they have insanely small textures. The game will only have 100 total textures are so. Each texture representing a different texture pallet.
Let me know what you guys think!
