Thanks! The lines are intentional to be only one way. I am actually not too sure what cause them but I have this same kind of metal paint on a lamp in my house and have seen it on some things at my grandmothers house. These lines always appear at a 90 degree angle to the ground. I guess the paint forms these lines as gravity pulls it towards the ground?
I do think I should make them a tad less noticeable though.
Here is an example of the lines. On the metal lampshade I have they all appear at 90 degree angle to the bottom of the shade. I guess they could be the brush marks if you are suppose to always paint it in the same direction.
I do know that when painting you make long straight strokes but the diorection of those strokes will be different from area to area. I think I can add in a second layer of lines at slightly different angle.
