Wowza!! Great work dude, so detailed!
Really enjoying your polybook, such detailed worked, it's super inspiring.
Amazing work . Keep that great work
Thanks !! It's always a humbling experience when a talented artist praises you I've just seen your polybook Laura, and I must say I'm blown away. I might actually have a couple of questions in terms of texturing for ya.
Well I guess that makes two of us then! Thank YOU for the compliment, Kamil!
You're welcome, and sure! I don't consider myself really knowledgeable of texturing, but feel free to ask me I'll do my best to answer!
A joint project based on the concept art of @paula41297. The torso/face blockout for the cartoony character we're doing
I love how you're experimenting will all different kinds of styles. And they all are looking good! Keep it up
Having soooo much fun with this one @jonathan_l Experimenting helps a lot. I literally cannot recall a single model I've done that after 7 days of work was less than 1 mb At this point in time I could already measure their size in hundreds of megs So it's a nice thing not to actually hear your computer choke with every test render
Also, I think Kent's tutorial on hair strands might be good here. I was thinking of using cycles hair particles but I don't really think it would fit the theme of the character.
The body of the cartoony character is more or less complete. Waiting for the feedback from the concept artist and we can move on to the hair, facial details and clothes
@paula41297 Close enough or do we change something here? (I really thought the legs wouldn't translate well into 3D the way the concept art portrayed them (a bit too wavy) but I really like how it turned out, what do you think? )
I have to say those legs are really fun! They really catch the eye. I'm excited to see how this character turns out.
Ok, the hair is done. Time to go for the hard stuff - clothing
And with some basic clothes:
Nice blockout on the clothes! She gives off a bit of a detective vibe for some reason.
