Thanks for the critique @jodyls27 I went and double checked the heroic proportions and the overall width was off so I brought the shoulder width in a bit.
As for the things with the traps I smoothed the transition some but the trapezius actually does stretch all the way to the shoulder muscle. In all my reference the insertion point for both the deltoid medial and trapezius are the same. Some males depending on the mass of the deltoid anterior and deltoid posterior give the illusion that the shoulder masses go over the trapezius. Obviously it changes some based on the pose.
I think the real problem is that everything feels tight all through the neck since I haven't defined the head or refined that area yet. I do also need to soften the entire chest area and the upper arms to match with the rest of the body so he doesn't look quite as ripped.
