i came to that part of learning when i dont know what i need to learn next in order to improve and with that i started questioning what i actually did learn.
From looking at other peoples renders i can clearly see i am missing a lot of things.Even thought of changing the render engine, perhaps keyshot is better than cycles? or maybe its just my lack of knowledge of it that makes my renders look below average? It just seams that my renders are missing that something that makes them really pop.
Also i have been planing to learn to use zbrush and substance painter so with that i could do high level of detail and also textures. The people i look up to and want to become as good are:Vitaly bulgarov,Tor Frick,Edon gurazion,Chung Kan,etc.
My curent projects from my artstation portfolio dont really resemble their artstyle but i still try from time to time to move more towards that kind of hardsurface concepting.
The reason i am posting my work on forums is because of my recent work that is looking like its going to turn really nice if i am able to do it properly so i came here to show it to as much people as i can so i can hear and change things on time while still at a early stage.
The gun i was talking about:
I have been trying to make it look and feel like it belongs in the real world, like it can be made and that it would function properly.I was not planing to do the entire inner mechanism but to show some function parts, that here arent done.
At one point i was even thinking of replacing the top grip with which you pull on the bolt and moving it to the side, but that would just feel out of place and would get in the way.
Also the muzzle and the scope is only temporary as i took them from a different gun i worked on.
First person view with attachemnts:
A big question was putting all the buttons and interactions you can have with the gun.The red slider on the side is used to eject the mag,im planing to add a switcher for firing mods and safety and...what else could i add for interaction?
Maybe to add the hinges that hold the upper and lower receiver togeter so the gun could be opened in the field.
Since i am on my laptop i only had the time to render a few renders with different settings.
the renders are from yesterday which is why some of the details are missing.
So please do leave your honest opinions and tips on what i am missing and what i should try to improve...and how
