So the beginning of my Polybook on the adventure of discovering Blender and 3d modelling.
Just started two weeks back and we are at full speed.
Start the introduction workflow of Blender to get the basic:
Having the basics under controle the next step was to developing this amazing wheel:
Note: Although the basics were known. IMO you can only create a wheel at this start to see how others approach the modelling of a wheel. Most difficult was the tread on the wheel.
Sculpting Melvin with a Mouse was not that easy, but in the end could be done.
Issue I had on this adventure was at almost the end of my sculpture I had a problem with the right horn.
In the end it create a whole..which I fixed more or less... ...As it was only do learn the basic of sculpting I left it like that.
Note: Question to the community: What should I do in case a hole is being created. How can it really be closed to continue sculpting? In the above example I just tried to conver it, which was not very effective.Just did not feel like starting all over again.
Rob Orb retopology:
The Orb was a good practice on retopology.
Note: Question to the community: The sculpted object was often transparant when trying to retoplogize. It was therfor difficult to often map it to the sculpted object. Which hotkey makes the sculpted object rock solid?
See you next time on my journey of 3d modeling and feel free on answering one or more of the above questions and or comment on my journey.
