Hi my name is André, and I have come across blender around 3/4 months ago!
My field is of Engineer and recently after finishing my master degree, I understood that there's still so much stuff that I don't know and that I should give a chance to learn new things not slacking off by pushing my limits. Either if it is trying to learn a new programming language, searching about different topics or spending time on something completely new/different from what i am used, it will be worth if i have fun while doing so.
With that said, i don't exactly remember how i came across Blender, but during this still short time i have been having a lot of fun. I wouldn't be realistic if i expected to last so much long, since i always considered myself to have zero artistic capabilities, due to my laughable drawing skills/creativity and the fact that i had actually peacefully resigned to it as far studies as a kid started.
Only when playing football (non-american), i felt that the creativity were blooming from my feet, but well i am going away off-script.
Back to the topic, i started by following a lot of Blender Guru tutorials, specially learning more about mesh modeling, but in general trying to have a decent grasp around the different workflows, different programs and what the pipeline is for completely different projects.
I had a lot of difficulties with Mesh modelling and since i really liked the Sci-Fi helmet course i have spent most of the time working with Sculpting, which personally i feel like hides some of the difficulties i had with mesh modelling.
From now on, i will try to post some of future work, with the limited time i have to develop my Blender skills! XD
Ps. One of the firsts things i did on Blender:
